Who are we?

We are a road and gravel cycling club based in Dronfield, Derbyshire with cyclists from around the local area. If you are looking for ideal cycling country then look no further than the Peak District National Park where our rides use many small quiet roads enabling us to take in the fantastic scenery and breathtaking views. To add variety to our rides we venture east into Nottinghamshire were our rides take in less hilly terrain and seek to run gravel rides once a month.

There are club rides every Sunday morning throughout the year and on Tuesday evenings during the summer months. We often ride on Wednesday mornings to gain some extra mileage.

We try to organise weekend away trips during the summer as well as supporting local British Cycling events in the region.

Our members take part in Time Trials, Hill Climbs and Road Racing as well as Sportives and Audax events. Many members are happy to just enjoy the peace and quiet of a Sunday ride out with friends in the glorious local countryside and a nice cup of tea (and may be a bun or teacake) at the cafe.

The name comes from a local firm where the founding fathers worked who set up the club in 1986. The number of members working at Fusion slowly declined and now there is no longer any link to the company, but it does make for a unique cycling club name!

Our clubs colours are Red, White and Black. (Modelled by these three handsome chaps at the point of our 2017 kit change)

Over the years the club has grown from only a few members to now being on an upward curve and we currently have nearly 40 members of varied abilities.  Some of these members are new to cycling with some being former international’s. So if you would like to come along on a ride there should be someone of similar ability to yourself.

In 2011 we promoted our first ever event under Cycling Time Trials regulations and we also affiliated to British Cycling, the internationally recognised governing body for cycle sport in the UK. 2011 also saw our first female members join the club. 2013 saw the club gain it’s first British Cycling ranking points. Just some indicators of how the club is growing and flourishing.

If you would like to join our club you would be most welcome. If you would like anymore information please contact us. We hope to see you out on the road very soon.
